Interfaith Concert for Love and Unity

Are you so excited for the RVA Peace Festival, that September seems ages away?  Do you enjoy peace-focused events that highlight and celebrate the diversity of Richmond?  Then the Interfaith Benefit Concert for Love and Unity is perfect for you!  Come and join the Interfaith Council of Greater Richmond and many of Richmond’s faith communities for a concert promoting love, unity, and understanding through music and dance.  Learn more about and gain a greater appreciation for different faiths, all while enjoying a wonderful and welcoming atmosphere.

Performers include:

Hayat Donna Bain, Dances of Universal Peace –
Hayat will open the event with an interactive Dance of Universal Peace (joyous, multicultural, interfaith circle dance) to bring us all together in love, harmony, and beauty.

Yhoshua Adama, Peace Culture Club
Yhoshua, an African American Hebrew musician, will share his traditions with us through peaceful, captivating, and engaging guitar music.

Archie Abaire, ICGR Member –
Archie will present spoken word poetry and spiritual readings from his Baha’i faith, focused on the theme of love and unity.

Jason Caplan, The Universal Room
Jason will share his beautiful and unique blend of Jewish mysticism and interfaith meditative music (based on Klezmir melodies), while also demonstrating how music is a universal language.

School of Theology at Virginia Union (STVU) Whosoever Will Choir, Virginia Union University Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology
The STVU Whosoever Will Choir, an ecumenical gospel choir, will provide inspiring choral music and help close the event with a unifying, interfaith sing-along.

For further enticement, light refreshments will also be provided.
